Ah, Spring.
She’s all sunshine and rainshower rainbows and birdies singing and bunnies playing and green things popping up outta the dirt.
But she has an underbelly.
She’s roaring wind, late snows.
She’s picking up a winter’s worth of soggy dogshit.
And those sweet little green things popping outta the dirt?
They had to fight through hard packed earth and darkness before they reached the sunshine. When they felt Mama Spring calling, their little spirits stirred and as they grew, they had to PUSH their way to the surface.
It’s hard work, the business of emerging.
Do plants know what they’re in for? Do they know if they just keep going, there’s some sun? Do they reach for the warmth?
Maybe. Maybe not.
The good news?

You know that on the other side of winter, there’s spring. There’s sunshine to be found. Birdies singing. Rainshower rainbows.
