I’m always trying to figure out why things are the way they are. I, and probably most of us, are constantly trying to understand this big bad rad thing called Life. Why are we here?

Anyhoo, when Life gets all curvebally, I get all wondery and wandery and explainy. What the ever-loving crap is going on here? Is Mercury in Retrograde, or something?
Yep. Mercury is in Retrograde again.
Wait, what?
Here’s a little astrology lesson from a gal who doesn’t know a whole lot about the Zodiac. I know my own sign, I know some stuff about the day I was born, and I know a few of my favorite people’s signs. But, that’s about it. I’m interested in the Big Picture, ya know? I’m not checking my horoscope every day, but when planets start to make pretty patterns in the sky, my interest is piqued.
So, Mercury Retrograde. Mercury in Retrograde means that, from our point of view in this big ole ‘Verse, Mercury appears to be moving backward in it’s journey across the sky. This has to do with the difference between Earth’s orbit and Mercury’s orbit around Sol, our very own sunstar.
Mercury is all about communication, travel and truth. And when he gets to looking like he’s walking backwards…it gets messy. Travel plans get mucked. People misunderstand. We get all fuzzy brained.
That being said, Mercury in Retrograde can be a verrry useful time. Retrograde is a great time to re: revisit, redo, revamp, revitalize.
I’m not saying this is truth. I’m not saying it’s the only thing that’s going on right now. But we are starstuff. The iron in your blood was born in the core of a star. Who’s to say the stars aren’t still talking to us?
I firmly believe that there’s always something.
Seasons changing,
energy shifting,
stars aligning,
bodies revolutionizing themselves.
And sometimes people are just…who they are. Unequivocally.
We try to make sense of it. As best we can. Sometimes, you just gotta roll with it.
