Well, helllllooooo 2016. Look at you.
I’m back from winter holiday hiatus, and I have fresh eyes on 2016.
I could totally give you a rundown on 2015, summarize my year with bullet points, high-fives and alleluias.
There were plenty of high-fives and alleFREAKINGluias.
But there was plenty of shit, too.
Maybe we can just leave it at that. You might want all the details of my 2015. You might not. But it is useful to get clear on your own experience. So you can create an intention for 2016.
I’m all about the intentions. Resolutions suck. Intentions give you room to do what you actually want to do.
I used the Desire Map to create my intentions for 2016. It turns traditional goal setting on its ear. Say; losing 20 lbs. It’s a common goal or resolution.
It’s also horribly boring. Just sayin.
What if you focused on how you want to feel instead of some boring and arbitrary goal? For example…

2016 is going to be the year I focus on saying FUCK, YES. If it ain’t a fuck yes, it’s a no.
I’m sorry if that offends delicate eyes. But the effbomb is the only way I can truly show the emphasis I require to say yes to anything new.
What I’ve said FUCK, YES to so far:
White space on the Calendar.
I was getting waaaaay too rigid. I was rebeling against my own schedule. So now I have huge chunks of nothing. Feels very WILDHEARTED.
Date Nights at Home with the my love.
We put it on the calendar. We have a plan to regularly stay home, turn off the phones, make something yummy to eat and watch a movie. Just us. My introvert needs this, and the thought of giving him what he needs makes my heart happy. This is the embodiment of EASE and BELOVED.
Upping my Meditation game.
20 minutes with my butt on the cushion. Shooting for daily, but it’s okay if I miss. Totally COSMIC.
